Zinq „Old Man“ Slatecrusher is the team captain of the „Thornpears“. He is member of the team since it joined the major league year ago. He may not score the most touchdown and may not cause the most casualties, but the younger players, and all of the players are younger than Zinq, respect him as the leader of the team. He has see glorious victories and dramatic losses. With the years his fur become more and more grey and he is suffering from his uncounted injuries. With his last year within the league he wants lead his team to victory for a last time.

His favourite cheese is Allgäuer Sennalpkäse.
