Firefighter Crulec "Crusher" Candlestick was called to the clubhouse of the Thornpear Valleyshockers during a game against the Sikret Sosaiety Guilde, a goblin team from neighboring Holy Gallus City. Apparently one bomb thrown by opposing player Grog "Short Fuse" Skullplate went the wrong way (as usual). After successfully extinguishing the fire and saving the "Holy Boot" he was invited by the club president to the aftergame player's party. When he talked to the players, he was intrigued by the violent sport and decided to take a shot at it. He showed up in team practise with his red fire-fighter gloves, which he had equipped with some special protection, which turned out to be less protective to the opposing players

His favorite cheese is Vorarlberger Alpkäse.
